Client
Berberè was founded in 2010 with the mission of serving delicious artisan pizza made only with live sourdough, easily digestible and with no frills in a stylish yet cosy environment. Organic, quality ingredients are their only gospel. Today the chain owns 14 pizzerias in Italy and 1 in London.



Challenge
The client asked us to use social networks as well as their brand identity to talk about their mission – friendly people serving delicious pizza in lovely places, with the goal to strengthen the brand's identity and make it immediately recognizable across the web.

Our solution
We used photos, drawings, videos and words to talk about Berberè's pizza, their people as well as the experience at their restaurants, stressing elements distinguishing the brand from competitors and Berberè's unique style – vintage, pop and contemporary.
The unique, highly recognizable graphic design and tone of voice we used are consistent with all off-line communication.


How did we talk about
Berberè's friendly people?
We emphasized the brand's distinctive strengths – live sourdough, organic, fresh ingredients sourced from small producers – through immersive pictures showcasing fresh, high-quality, generous toppings.
We also shot videos featuring a combination of images and graphics to place further emphasis on ingredients.
Finally, we talked about live sourdough through graphic motion videos, using irony to ensure an easy understanding of the benefits of using live sourdough in pizza dough.


How did we talk about the Berberè experience?
We worked together with videomaker and creator Fabio Persico to make videos showing the restaurants, the welcoming, inclusive vibes, the colourful, informal interiors, the open kitchen where customers can see the pizzaioli at work, the clientele and the overall experience Berberè offers.
The videos are pop-style, colourful, vibrant with cheerful, up-tempo music.
Snapshots show set tables displaying Berberè's dishes (pizza's, drinks, appetizers, desserts) and the postcards found inside the restaurants.

In addition, we told interesting stories about the brand by partnering Fabio Persico to make videos where the founders themselves tell fun facts and trivia about Berberè's experience, food and people. The style of the videos is always energetic, the background shows the colourful restaurants, customers taking pictures of their pizza and posting them on social networks - a clear reference to what actually happens when they join the Berberè world.
